                                                               Art of Seeing
By Frank Calo and Stevie Ruzich

Line- Crossroad

Shape- Pizza in little triangles that fill out the circle

Color- Bandanas, posters, and flag

Space- Outdoor sitting area near river

Texture- Pavement

Emphasis- Flower

Balance- Between the apples and oranges and the darkness of the red and the brightness of orange.

Harmony-This graffiti art is composed of various different feathers, yet they are all balanced together because of the similar line work, colors, and sizes.

Variety-The different colors, lines, shades of light and dark, shapes, and patterns of this mural all contrast against each other to create an intriguing visual interest.

Movement- The still background helps your eyes see the movement of the water. The water shooting out and splashing back down into the bottom of the fountain also creates movement.

Proportion- The trees compared to the different levels of apartment floors allows the viewer to see the scale of the area. The chairs in the foreground also allow one to see depth and how the apartments are located behind the courtyard.

Unity- There are multiple elements within this photograph-the plants, different kinds of fish, the rocks at the bottom, the sunken treasure chest, and the log. All of these elements put together create a unified aquarium setting

Eating a Sandwich Perspectives

For the project, we decided to show eating a sandwich in 3 different perspectives. The first two are from the sandwich's perspective what it would like for the sandwich to go into the person's mouth. The second pair are from the eater's perspective, what it looks for them eating the sandwich. Then the last pair is someone else looking at another person eating a sandwich and what they see.

Number Project

Final One
Favorite number is 20. I wore it every year for my basketball team because of Manu Ginobili(left) and Ray Allen(right) and the eye balls resemble 20/20 vision. Tried to put my own face in the picture, but it was too hard to get the whole thing right and put it together. did not have the right picture for it.
Stage C Last 2

number 19 representing the birth of Pixar same year as my birth and the evolution of its movies as it grows with me
Step B Final Four
number 95 representing fall of the browns and rise of the indians

19 each picture representing a major life event from me, locally, or nationally

  Step A- Six sketches

Peer Evaluation:
Pete- A He was the photographer of the group and did a great job, as he also came up with a lot of ideas for the project
Morgan- A She was the one to come up with the idea in the first place and she did a very nice job of making her ideas come to life and helped out a lot all around
Mike- A He helped a lot with the way the ideas should be presented through our photos and helped with the arrangement of the photos
Frank- A  I was the editor of the group and helped with making sure our ideas were visually appealing and understood.

Process
This was a real group effort.  We all contributed in different ways. We wanted to come up with an idea that everyone could relate to and know. We also wanted to do an idea, where we could have the least amount of photos, while having at least eight of the requirements. We wanted to do this because we wanted a challenge and thought it would be just to easy and boring if we just used eight photos having one requirement each. We thought it would be fun to have multiple layers for each photo. That is how we came up with the religion idea. Religion is a huge thing in society and we wanted to represent it in different ways, which is how we came up with the two different  religions of Christianity and Islam, which comes together to the neutral photo of the chapel which accepts all religion.

Synopsis
Each photo has a different meaning and representation of how we view the world in religion.  Our photos consist of the cross, which is a worldwide symbol for catholicism, with hands praying cropped on the photo, representing prayer and religion. The other photos are through the vision of a hijab, which represents the muslim religion. That is a combination of 3 photos.  We edited all of the photos to be in black and white to show that religion isn't a black and white issue. Religion isn't something that can devalue or add value to an individual. It's a play off of that idea. The final photo of the chapel, representing the neutral views of religion, there is no specific faith that goes into that place.  It then shows life and death by the haunting ghost-like figure as well as the contrast of black and white which represents life and death. Also, the creepy organ player in the back playing obvious sound.

Symbolism of the Catholic faith. This photo of the cross was taken in front of the basilica in Rome, one of the most famous basilica's in italy.

Double Entendre, Metaphor, Reduction Form/Symbol

This represents the Muslim's view from their hijab. It shows the progression of this person religiously following their faith in the chapel.

Multi-Frame, POV/Perspective, Framing of the image

This photo is taken in the chapel in order to symbolism peace. The chapel is a place where all religions are welcomed to worship according to their own choosing. It is meant to symbolize harmony amongst religion and represent how all people are equal. We can all find common ground regardless of our differences in life styles/views. Also the presence of the ghost-like figure represents life and death. A chapel is usually a place full of life and we contrasted this notion with the ghost in this photo.
